I just want to say this once, for the record, everyone else can do with it what they will:

Pointing out the differences between groups of people, even going so far as to draw stereotypical generalizations is not racism. It only becomes racism when those differences are used to justify unequal treatment.

So to the person who said: "I’m not personally offended! lol I think I would probably laugh a lot harder if the author was black…" Having a white person make these observations and post them online does not make said observations any more or less funny than if a black person were posting them. The posts are either funny or they aren't, their value isn't derived from the identity of the observer. Whether or not a black person could write better material on this site is besides the point, if the content is funny then skin color of the person who said it shouldn't really determine how hard you laugh.

I'm a half black half white female. I'd love to be on the writing staff =] I love racial comedy and find your site hilarious. As a minority in a small mainly white town I've found making black jokes is just a good ice breaker. I have a few ideas of things you might like to add to "things black people like"

A. Movies by Tyler Perry
B. Complaining about their child dating a person of another race
C. Complaining about Racism (irony =])
D. Maxwell the musician (im amazed by how few white people have heard of him)
E. Making references to slavery when asked to do something by a white person.

Just a few ideas =] Email me if you'd like a little help

Why don't you help him add more to this blog site then since you have so much to say. You probably need to hang around more white people if this is offensive to you then you have not been around all white men before cause this ain't nothing.

LOL!

Respect to all the black people who see the harmless humor in SBPL.

I have a visual of every item listed at SBPL. Of course, it doesn't apply to all black people any more than everything at SWPL applies to me.

I learned from my black friends that black do not like rare meat, or, black people like well done meat. I have known a few exceptions, but, it is generally true.

Black people like the color purple. Not the movie, the actual color.

My last girlfriend, who is black, asked me what the deal is with white people and white bath towels. What color towels to black people like?

I learned in Basic Training that black people like to use wash clothes while white people will use a bar of soap alone.

Some other SBPL:

* Fruity scented car fresheners
* Wearing over-sized clothes
* Hennessey
* Menthol cigarettes
* Being completely absorbed in being black
* Bar-B-Que
* Blunts (Have you ever known a black person to own a bong?)
* Ghetto, hood or street pride T-shirts
* Playing dominoes
* Driving with windows down in lieu of air conditioning, even in a new car.
* Being loud

LOL!

I'm a black female. I'm not personally offended! lol I think I would probably laugh a lot harder if the author was black...

It's hard to be trusting these days since racism now generally happens subconsciously and sometimes with ignorant habit. People who are racist or have ridiculing opinions about another race usually don't consider themselves to be racist, but I do think they tread a thin line. Only the person who views each person as an individual with unique qualities and treats people accordingly is completely unadulterated. ... but that is not many people. So, I give people leeway.

Shoot, I personally have opinions about groups of people and even personal feelings about those opinions! Just being honest!

But the line is drawn for me based on the action that results from your thinking. You can't help your thoughts for the most part. And when you can, it's a long process. We're human!

I always try to figure out someone's intention when something borderline racists happens, but I never can. So, I always walk away neutral- it could be or it couldn't be racist. OH WELL. I'm still me and happy to be! :)

If the author was black, that would take a little edge off of the humor, because self racism is a lot less common although very alive. Most would assume a genuine comedic intention.

Anyway, we should worry more about our opinions of ourselves a lot more than others' opinions of us. I'm an individual. I'm successful and happy. ;) Lighthearted joking is OK. I can take a joke.

Besides, when a white guy walks past my car, I lock my doors as loudly as possible. Yep, I'm afraid of you, white man! You guys are always doing something illegal! ;)

Just JOKING... I mean, I do that for real though. ...and I laugh EVERY time. lol

Smile. You're you!

hell yea...this site just seems very suspect to me as a black person so its hard for me to dig this site...satire is a tricky art my man. MC Search couldn't get away with a site dedicated to a tongue and cheek ridicule of black people like you're doing right now so you'd have to understand a certain level of reserve people have about this site man.
